Privacy Policy

Information you give us. When you submit our contact form or otherwise reach out, we collect your name, business name, phone number, email address, business type, and anything you choose to tell us. We also record whether you consented to be contacted, the exact consent wording you agreed to, and when you agreed.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and the date and time of your visit. We may use cookies or similar technologies needed to operate the site.

Information from our services. If you become a customer, we process information needed to provide the service, such as your account details, your business phone numbers, and messages and call records handled by the service.

• To respond to your inquiry and contact you by phone, text message, and email as you have consented.
• To set up, provide, support, and bill for our services.
• To register phone numbers with carriers and comply with telecommunications requirements.
• To send optional marketing messages, only if you separately opted in.
• To operate, secure, and improve our website and services.
• To comply with law, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect our rights and the rights of others.

We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or your text messaging opt-in data and consent with any third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information is shared only with service providers that help us send and receive messages on our behalf, and only for that purpose.

You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at (860) 777-1118 or hello@makemyva.com. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share personal information only:

• With service providers that work on our behalf, such as website hosting, CRM, communications and telecommunications providers, payment processors, and email delivery services, under obligations to protect it and use it only to provide services to us.
• With telecommunications carriers and registries as required to register and operate business phone numbers.
• When required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of us, our customers, or others.
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case the information remains subject to this policy.
• With your consent or at your direction.

• Texts: reply STOP to any message to opt out.
• Email: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
• Calls: ask us to stop calling you, and we will add you to our internal do-not-call list.

Opting out of marketing does not stop messages directly related to services you have purchased, such as account or billing notices.

Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and other states with consumer privacy laws, you may have the right to:

• Know and access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate personal information.
• Delete your personal information.
• Receive a copy of your personal information in a portable format.
• Opt out of the sale of personal information, targeted advertising, and profiling. We do not engage in these activities.
• Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

We extend these rights to all U.S. visitors, whether or not a specific state law applies to us. To make a request, email hello@makemyva.com or call (860) 777-1118. We will verify your request using information you have already given us and respond within 45 days, or tell you if we need more time as the law allows. You may use an authorized agent, who must provide proof of authorization.

Appeals. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision or emailing hello@makemyva.com with the subject line "Privacy Appeal." We will respond within the time required by law. If you are not satisfied, you may contact your state attorney general.

Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track. We do not sell or share personal information or track you across other websites for advertising. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a valid opt-out request. Because we do not engage in cross-site tracking, our site does not otherwise respond differently to browser Do Not Track signals.

California residents. In the past 12 months we have collected identifiers (name, phone, email), commercial information (business name and type, service details), and internet activity information, from the sources and for the purposes described above. We have not sold or shared personal information. California Shine the Light: we do not share personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes.

Nevada residents. We do not sell covered information as defined by Nevada law.

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide services, maintain records of your consent, resolve disputes, and meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations. We then delete or de-identify it.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable state law.

Our website and services are intended for businesses and adults 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date. Material changes will be highlighted on our website or communicated directly where required.
